Tear Strength of Fabrics – Trapezoid Procedure
This standard mainly applies to most woven textile fabrics, but can be applicable to fabrics produced by other techniques.
The method specifies a procedure to determine the tear force of textile fabrics using the trapezoid method. A rectangular specimen is axtm and prepared so that it can be loaded in the grip faces at an angle, allowing a tear astj propagate across the specimen.
